MARIANGELA was born and raised in Catania, Sicily. She has earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Comparative Literature and Foreign Languages. Mariangela is a native speaker of Italian, a near-native speaker of French, and fluent in English and Spanish. Mariangela is an extremely passionate linguist who adores sharing her fascination for the Italian language and culture with people of all ages. She has extensive tutor experience and has taught Italian and French in college and high school. Her greatest passions are literature, poetry, traveling, art, music, dance, opera, cooking (especially desserts), design, fashion, cinema and theatre. Mariangela writes articles for literary and art history magazines and loves incorporating cultural, folkloric, and artistic elements into her lessons. She is very cheerful, relaxed, humorous, and creative teaching philosophy infuses each class with enthusiasm and joy of living.
