What’s your teaching method?

We follow the criteria given by the European Framework for Education. We work on developing all the skills, not only grammar alone. The aim is to have you speak little by little, by providing you with tools to feel familiar and more and more comfortable. You can find more info here.​

How do I find out my level?

You can complete our Placement Test. One of our teachers will review it and send you feedback to make sure you are placed at the correct level​​

Are the teachers all native Italian?

Yes, all of them. Meet our team here!​

What can I expect in a typical group course?

In a typical group course, your instructor will lead you and your classmates through a variety of activities that reinforce the language objectives for that course. We are all about real-world practical use of knowledge. You will have learning materials, however, we like getting away from the textbook and putting the emphasis on spoken conversation as well. How long do the packages of private classes last?

All packages must be used no later than 3 months after the last class.​

What is the Cancellation Policy for private classes?

Private classes can be canceled or rescheduled up to 36 hours in advance, after that class will be counted to honor our policy which protects the teacher and the time reserved for you only. The cancellation email must be received during business hours (9AM to 7PM). View complete Cancellation Policy here.​

Do you have payment plans?

No, we don’t offer payment plans, but you can always contact the director directly to explain your situation. Use our Contact Form, call us at (212) 603-9685 for more info.

Can I audit/sit-in a class before signing up?

If you want you can try a class and pay individually for it before signing up.​

Is the material included?

Yes, we only ask you to purchase a grammar book of reference that you will use for several levels. The cost may vary. If you order a book from our website you can choose to pick it up at school or we can ship it anywhere in the US. Due to major USPS delays, Speakitaly NYC is not responsible for any lost or damaged packages once they are shipped and the tracking number is provided.
