Experience & Activities
ASTER was born and raised in Milan, Italy, with proud Eritrean roots that connect her deeply to her heritage and its language. Her passion for cultures and communication inspired her to pursue a bachelor’s degree in communication and early childhood education, studying English and Spanish history and language at the University “La Statale” in Milan.
She began traveling at sixteen and quickly fell in love with exploring new places, languages, and ways of life. She speaks and understands French and Spanish at a conversational level, and since moving to New York in 2004, she has become deeply familiar with both the American and Italian education systems. For the past 15 years, she has worked in the educational field,
gaining rich experience with children of different ages and cultural backgrounds. Supporting children’s development—from their first milestones through young adulthood—brings her endless joy. She loves sharing the warmth, empathy, and rich traditions of the Italian language and culture through her work. She also has a deep love for music, stand-up comedy, live concerts, and great food shared in good company.
